For All The Mother's

Happy Mother's Day    Greetings!

It's Mother's Day 2010 and it's always good to acknowledge our mother's…..

If you are a regular reader of my e-newsletter,  you may recall that my newsletter on last Mother's Day was a poem, called "The Lanyard" by Billy Collins (still one of my favorite poems…you can look it up on the newsletter part of my website).  Sooo….I may be starting a tradition here but I found another Mother's Day poem I wanted to share.  I guess somthing about Mother's Day brings out the poet in me!  Just for the record though I didn't write this poem,

Before I was myself you made me, me
With love and patience, discipline and tears,
Then bit by bit stepped back to set me free,

Allowing me to sail upon my sea,
Though well within the headlands of your fears.
Before I was myself you made me, me

With dreams enough of what I was to be
And hopes that would be sculpted by the years,
Then bit by bit stepped back to set me free,

Relinquishing your powers gradually
To let me shape myself among my peers.
Before I was myself you made me, me,

And being good and wise, you gracefully
As dancers when the last sweet cadence nears
Bit by bit stepped back to set me free.

For love inspires learning naturally:
The mind assents to what the heart reveres.
And so it was through love you made me, me
By slowly stepping back to set me free.

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's and Mom's to be!

Please excuse the transition back to "business", but I did want to let you know a few things:

YOGA CLASS

First off, my mistake last week when I announced our  yoga class would be this Monday…it will not be this Monday, the next yoga class will be Monday June 14th

PATIENT INFORMATION SEMINAR

Also this Wednesday we will be having our free patient informational seminar.  It will be held at my North Jersey office, 225 Millburn Ave, Suite 204, Millburn, NJ starting at 6:30 pm.

If you (or someone you know) is interested in attending, please RSVP by phone or email.  The phone is 973-218-1990 or email laf@gsbwc.com.  The seminar is free and gives people a chance to find out what bariatric surgery could offer them and get questions answered in a very informal environment.
