January 14th 2009 - Happy New Year! The Green Guy has a name!
Happy New Year! I hope you are staying warm, the weather really is frightful this week in the New York area!
I know It’s been a few weeks since my last email, I hope everyone had a safe and healthy New Year! For those of you who went to the holiday party (and there were over 300 of you!) I wanted to give you an update on a few things.
As you know I had a photographer there taking pictures, the pictures are up on the website. If you go to www.gsbwc.com the home page has the group shot that we took (and I have to say I have some good looking patients!) If you want to look at your individual photo just click on the red banner and it will take you to the holiday photo section.
Almost all the pictures that were taken are there ( I will warn you there are a lot of them……if you remember the photographer took alot of pictures). The pictures are small, but if you click on an individual picture it will enlarge. On the bottom left of each picture is an “image number”. If you send a request to firstname.lastname@example.org with the image number I will be happy to send you an 8×10 (sorry folks limit of one per customer!)…and be sure to give us the address you want us to send it to in your email.
The party was a great success and I hope the photo is a fond reminder of the event, and more importantly, your ongoing journey. I already have the place reserved for this year…Dec 7th, so save the date!
As you may remember we also had a little contest at the party to “name the green guy”. The Green guy by the way is our new logo which is at the top of this email. Well the winning entry is from Kim Chambres….congratulations Kim. Her entry was “Phoenix”.
The Phoenix is a mythological bird which burns up and is constantly reborn. The idea of rebirth is one I assume most of you can relate to and I thought it was a good metaphor for the practice and our new logo. Thanks again Kim and for your winning entry you’ll get a $200 gift certificate to be used anywhere in the Short Hills Mall.
With the new year there have been some changes to the support group schedule. Each month we will try to have a theme, this month it is Stress Relief and Yoga. The 14th (tonite) is the meeting for the patients who had surgery less than one year ago. Next Wednesday (the 21st) is for band patients, and the 28th is for patients who had surgery over one year ago.
The support group meets at the Ambulatory Care Center, 200 South Orange Ave, Livingston, NJ from 6 pm to 7:30 pm.
The support group schedule can always be found on my website.
That’s it for now folks, as always thanks for reading and trusting me with your healthcare.
